Kids say the darnest things. I agree.
They can spin all kinds of theories!
Eg. Waterfalls are formed by freeze-and-thaw action.
Eg. Freeze-and-thaw action happens when rocks expand and contract due extreme temperature.
Eg. Weathering is the change in temperature within the day.
Eg. For all you know, trees might be more harmful than ever... having a conspiracy to wipe out the human population, while putting on a front.
Eg. Water falls to the ground as perspiration.
