Wild goose chase in Lucky Plaza
Had an interesting dinner with Meowmeow last night (my supposed mysterious date who's apparently more adorable than others.) at Lucky Plaza.
We explored the entire Lucky Plaza, from Level 1 all the way to Level 5. Not that we were carrying out some NUS survey, neither were we there to interview Filippino maids (still remember when Lumpy told the entire lecture that I couldn's spell "Philippines". Hmph!)... we were there to patronize an Indonesian chicken rice place. But in order to find it, there's an initiation course. You need to wind in and out of the many alleys, take all escalators and peek into every single corner. Then you'll finally get your food. When you find the place lah. (That happens when you don't know the name of the eating place, nor where it is, and the directory isn't extremely helpful in informing you whether it's an eating place or not.) I'm more than willing to oblige though. Heh.
But I must say Lucky Plaza really needs a Geographer to help them plan the layout man... it's so laissez-faire! So much so that the directory has to be in alphabetical order instead of by categories! And different parts of it reminded me of different shopping centres! The Japanese building opposite Cuppage which has lots of Japanese karaokes, Beach Road, Far East plaza, Yang Tze building, etc.
Anyway, we settled down for our dinner. Boy did we work hard for our dinner! Heh. The food was not bad... but it's Indo food lah... (ever since the last time when I was sick in Indo, it kinda turns me off. Heh.) Anyway, the funny thing is that as I was talking... Meowmeow started tearing. (Nope, I didn't make her cry... I wouldn't bear to right? Haha! She probably would never allow me to forget it! *grin*) But neither was she too touched that we finally found the place. The reason was cos the chilli was too hot! Hahaha! But I decided not to make her embarass there and then... cos I'd rather blog it and tell the whole world instead! Hahaha!
But it was a nice night out, short and impromptu as it was.
